The laser cut process was the stage after I finished designing the letterforms (based on natural patterns) in order to create a templates for letterpress later on. Choosing the material of plywood has the reason that the wood grain/structure will be seen later on the prints. However, every letter has a thickness of 3mm and will be attached to an 21mm woodblock to reach the right hight for printing on the press.
